Remember these guys?
The Heterodyne Boys

This is interesting. But it's a SPOILER for Girl Genius.

The Heterodynes are back!

Bill doesn't resemble me as much as he used to. Not that I've changed...

Ah, but you see -- warning, personal theory time! -- the Bill Heterodyne in Monday's page is just a projection, and resembles Lars (who always played Bill on stage). The flashback-Bill in the Dragon From Mars tale also looked just like Lars, although we hadn't yet met him at the time!

I'm betting that what everyone is seeing there is Adam and Lilith, accompanied by a nifty steampunk hologram by Gil, with visuals vetted by the circus folk perhaps. Distraction, don'tcha know ... 8D

I'm sure the Real Bill resembles the Real Bill a bit more closely -- and I haven't completely given up on the idea of Agatha's meeting Dad & Uncle in the flesh at some point. ;]

Hmmmm. Either that or (sudden thought) it's all an illusion of Master Payne's magic ...

Good point about Lars, though, alas, he appears to have died.

Adam and Lilith-- Punch and Judy-- were really sick, quite some distance away, a small number of hours before this scene occurs. And Gil seemed fully occupied taking care of them.

Yes, Lars seems to be dead, at least for now. Good point about the distances involved ...

Ergo, (Tah-dah!) by the process of elimination: an illusion by Master Payne, who would understandably model Bill on Lars. 8?

It's rather solid for an illusion (per Wednesday's installment).

Okay, so not a hologram, but solid. I was ready to eat crow, until I saw the page.

I'm still seeing glowing interference-pattern-effects there. And really, I'm back to suspecting Gil -- can't be Klaus, after all, since he's rather smunched right now ....

... ultimately, I'm trusting Dimo's and Krosp's noses ....

Most definitely. Also pls note that Pie Guy told Agatha to play along, so figure that he's in on it.

Back to the original topic, though, weren't there pix of Lucrezia and Bill (Mark II) in the locket?

Oooh, now I gotta go look. But the books are at home, and I am slacking off at work ....

Um, I haven't seen the hardcopy story between Girl Genius 101 and GG Advanced, but I _thought_ that Adam and Lilith were hurt in GG 101 and that the above Grand Entrance just took place in Advanced.

Was there an intervening panel of Adam and Lilith, and if so, where?
