Ah. I'm somewhat surprised that you're not aware of the career of Dr. Theodora Non-Hodgkins.
Daughter of a notorious supervillain by one of his English maids, Theodora was the acknowledged heir to her father's position in SPECTRE. On her father's fall, young Theodora escaped to France, where she attempted to distance herself from her father's legacy by adopting the French version of the family name, and applying her inherited intellect to socially beneficial medical research.
Upon marrying a dashing young British intelligence officer, she chose to keep her maiden name as a constant reminder of the pitfalls of intellect divorced from morality.
Dr. Non-Hogkins continues her lifelong pursuit of public service, and SPECTRE has long since abandoned efforts to bring her back into the fold....
I don't know that anyone discovered it Bill. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a catch-all term for something like 25 or 30 different cancers of the Lymph Nodes. What they all have in common is that they're not Hodgkin's disease.
