Heartwarming (or Is It Chilling?) Thanksgiving Story

Man Uses Frozen Turkey To Rescue Couple

(CBS) NORTHLAKE Two men and a turkey are credited with rescuing an elderly couple from a burning car Sunday in suburban Northlake.

Mark Copsy used the frozen Thanksgiving bird he'd just bought to break the driver-side window. And Michael Carpanzano pulled a fire extinguisher from a nearby store and put out the fire.

The husband and wife saved from the car are still in critical condition.

Both rescuers will be honored with citizenship awards next month from the town of Northlake.

According to this morning's TV news, he gave the bird to some charity group. He's a New Orleans refugee.
