I am surprised to learn that former President Clinton accompanied troops on a commando raid, and slightly more surprised to learn that he was videotaped doing this.

IIRC, there's a whole trope in TV You-Know-Whats dedicated to _Action President_, including Air Force One, Independence Day, and probably the forthcoming Abe Lincoln vampire slayer movie. I don't know another country that does this so much.
