Did I Dream This?

Sensing travelers in dire need of Priceline's services, William Shatner dons a rocket belt and dashes to the scene.

Somehow he is pushing a baby carriage. There is no sign of the rocket belt. A lemur slips out of a trap door in the baby carriage and, while Shatner distracts the travelers with his putative baby, the lemur sneaks over to their laptop and closes a deal. The ladies marvel at Priceline's low price while Shatner and the lemur make their escape.

I don't know -- haven't seen that ad if it exists -- but your scenario makes as much sense as any of the Priceline ads I have seen. And it includes lemurs. So how could it be bad?

I haven't seen it either, but it wouldn't surprise me. Most of the Priceline ads are that stupid.

No, sadly, it was not a dream. It was in point of fact a Priceline commercial, and they run it on our cable stations a LOT.

Freud would say that sometimes a rocket is just a rocket belt. He might raise an eye at the lemur and at Shatner though.

Shatner with a rocketbelt has to be one of the coolest things ever. Now, I'm looking for it online and can't find it anywhere. No sign of it on Priceline's site or YouTube.
