Now that I've seen Stardust (a fine fantasy movie, three stars) I have a question that the film didn't answer.

The question won't be a spoiler, but spoilers might turn up in the comments, so beware if you haven't seen the movie yet.

The film opens with an astronomer writing a response to a young man's question.

What question did the young man ask the astronomers? (And who was he?)

the letter writer was Tristan's father as a young man. And it may have been "do the stars look back?"

Just guessin', I've only seen it twice so far (and lurves it, enough that I want to see it again.)

probably after our RenFest (over second weeken of October) if it's still in the theaters, I have a weekend gig selling jewelry at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, so I'm kind of out of circulation until then.

I'm going to look closer at things.
