This just in, from Josh Marshall at Talking Points Memo:
A Pennsylvania man was arrested just blocks from the TPM headquarters yesterday morning with a note saying he wanted to "die in combat and want to go to heaven and meet god and a stash of knives, rifles, assault rifles, a shotgun, handguns and even a bottle rocket. He was driving the wrong way on 7th Avenue and his note also discussed his interest in cats.
Raise your hand if you also want to go to Heaven and meet a bottle rocket.

I'm afraid of it getting shot off.

I'd figure that you'd be more likely to meet a Boun Bang Fai rocket in heaven.

I keep seeing this, along with unmatched parentheses and dashes. Often in supposedly professionally prepared news items. I usually manage to decipher where the end break is supposed to be, but sometimes simply can't parse what's written.

Worse, this seems to be symptomatic of careless writing. In the same items there will missing words (that's an example), the wrong wards (that's another) and so forth. All indicating the writer couldn't be bothered to proof their work before publication.

I hate having to do extra work because a supposed professional was too lazy to do theirs.

More likely than lazy workers, it's probably management multiplying workloads.
