skylark_and_me_2

I'm going to try another way of inserting images into this journal: I made myself a Flickr account. Let me know if you don't see the picture of Skylark and me.

Nice bit of photoshopping, inserting yourself into a Chris Foss painting like that.

You thought the eggs in Alien were scary, look at the size of these!

(from the new Reading sewage treatment works, down the road, but unfortunately I don't have a shot of me with them in the background yet, so this web image has to do)

I see it, but what on earth is it?

It's this, which has now been moved. Storytelling here.

Ah-ha. I like the multi-faceted neutrino dome too.

And you have a right to look smug! Wow, that's just about perfect.

... I don't see a SINGLE irresistable beam of ravening energy beside which the precise and exact center of the most powerful bolt of lightning would be a dead zone.

Would that be the lambent kind or the coruscating variety?

Interesting pictures

So, never having met you (at least to my knowledge... in fandom you never know) I was very surprised just how much you look like your Folio (or folioesque?) caricature. Perhaps I should dig out mine... of course it's 25 years old and I am much older and wider now, and it is in B&W. After seeing you and Skylark 2 I checked out your other pictures. Quite interesting.

I've been wracking my brains ever since you "friended" me trying to figure out whether we've met. I guess not!

Yes, that is a Phil Foglio drawing, from the late Eighties. I've shown you mine, now you show me yours.

Ah yes, facial features are pure Foglio, once I bother to take a good look. I'd misguessed Steve Stiles initially, thinking perhaps of a panel from the Prof. Thintwistle series.

I haven't been reading any Doc Smith lately, though I've been making up for it by reading numerous copies of STARTLING STORIES. Space opera for the thinking primate.
