Where I am staying, if I want to travel to Italy for gelato, it takes less than five minutes.

Round trip.

I have learned to say "tre gusti" and I am trying new flavors every day. Today: stracciatella, cocco, e fragola.

I am in one of the extraterritorial parts distant from Rome, the Other Vatican, if you like. I have little doubt that somewhere in Vatican City gelato is being served.

We are south of the pontifical farm, near the chickens. The astronomers' cappuccino is made with milk from the pontifical dairy.

"The Astronomers' Cappuccino" sounds like a great title for a novel. Happy travels and safe home.

The stoicism with which you make such heroic sacrifices is an inspiration to us all.
