It occurs to me that, on a planet trembling with fear of a Bird Flu pandemic, now may not be the best time to dispatch the Ricola Mystery Cougher to wander among the population.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME: To participate in the Ricola National "Thanks a Million" Game, watch and listen for the official Ricola "Mystery Cougher" between October 1, 2005 and February 28, 2006 (the "Game Period"). The Mystery Cougher is an authorized representative of Sponsor who will be present in multiple cities [...] In each location, Mystery Cougher will be present for at least one period of at least 10 minutes in a publicly-accessible space (e.g., on the street, in a public park, outside certain retailer locations, or at a shopping mall open to the public). To be eligible to win, you must approach the Mystery Cougher within one minute after he/she coughs and offer him/her one of the following: (i) any Ricola brand cough drop product, or (ii) a card or paper no smaller than 3" by 5" on which the words RICOLA COUGH DROP THANKS A MILLION are clearly printed.
