The world needs more computers that look like this.

Technically, I guess, the Iwoodkiosk is a kiosk casemod for the G5 Imac.

Once upon a time, if you bought a letterpress or a stove or a sewing machine, it had polished wooden parts, and the cast-iron parts had vines or leaping stags. Why shouldn't computers be decorative? We have just lived through many years of beige boxes. Time for something different.

I'd love to see these guys come up with a desktop model!

Indeed, and what really annoys me is that, after selling beige boxes for years, Apple railed and raged against beige when they came out with colorful new machines, and then promptly scrapped them for boring white boxes (possibly even worse than beige) when bright colors weren't taken seriously by the computer establishment. So much for courage.

Apple's never had a loudly stated principle that they won't reverse in a second if they think the market's there. I think the white boxes are nice-looking; I'm not so fond of the metal cheese grater. But I do wish they still sold different-colored cases.

I mourn that I never got to buy a purple iMac.
