Abandoning the Earth on Short Notice - Friday, 02-11-2011 - 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm - Botanic Garden B (Special Events)
Sometimes you can see the asteroid coming and have time to make a plan. What happens if someone looks away from the telescope at the wrong time, and now you're on a time crunch? Brainstorm scenarios for the apocalypse and how we might get ourselves out of them.

They're set in their ways, comfortable with the way things are, while we're young and rambunctious and like to change things. It's like a Florida retirement community suddenly having a daycare center across the road, blaring Barney music through the PA. If they ignore us, maybe we'll go away.
