"Bad Bank:" Download It Soon

The Chicago Public Radio series This American Life, heard on National Public Radio stations, had another special episode this week devoted to the economy.

"Bad Bank," episode 375, is another one-hour radio documentary from the people who created the Planet Money podcast and two earlier episodes of TAL, "The Giant Pool of Money" and "Another Frightening Show About the Economy."

If you want clear explanations of the ongoing economic crisis, you could do a lot worse than listen to these.

Planet Money Podcast

Most of this broadcast has been heard previously on the Planet Money podcast. And their podcasts stay around forever. They are also dedicated to making the material understandable. They call themselves a "jargon-free zone." The whole dollhouse bank thing I have heard word-for-word on Planet Money.

I second the Planet Money podcast. The whole first act was a repeat of previous PM shows and they give you much more insight three times a week in an entertaining and clear manner.
