Visible or Invisible?
Nov. 19th, 2008 12:10 pmAn important question about Google's new gateway to a couple million photos from Life magazine: can we link to the photos?

If a picture of the Berkeley cyclotron console does not appear here, let me know.

Anyway, I think you have a dandy idea, but I gather Life doesn't want us using its pictures for profit. So maybe we couldn't make money on it.
There sure are a lot of pictures to love...

Date: 2008-11-20 04:24 pm (UTC)You see...here's the run. I don't know what the Berkeley Cyclotron Console looks like. I've never seen it....
So I cannot with any certainty tell you that this picture of some 50's looking guy at a old retro-looking tech console IS IN FACT the Berkeley Cyclotron Console. It could be the radio man on Titanic think "This is a GREAT job...and what could possibly go wrong?" for all I know. It could be a picture taken 3 hours ago if Dell's crack team of tech support staff using the most advanced technical support equipment Dell has to offer. Heck, knowing you as I do, this console could actually be in your house (however I would be surprised that Life magazine documented that...!
So to answer your question, I see a picture of a guy at a console...but cannot verify WHICH console.
