beamjockeyAs you may know, on 30 June 1908, a cosmic impact devastated an area near Tunguska, in Siberia. You have probably seen pictures of the damage; trees were felled, in the thousands, by the enormous shockwave.
Todd Johnson of Fermilab prepared a cake to celebrate the centenary of the Tunguska impact. Here Todd lights the candles.
The cake is engulfed by a cosmic fireball.
In the aftermath, we admire the smoking destruction, then carve and enjoy the cake.
