Sinister Kiddie Ride Found at Mall

At the mall the other day, I saw this:

A gaily-painted car labeled FUTUREMOBIL. Police car. Jet exhaust. Maroon metalflake paint. Install your kid, insert fifty cents, and it starts to wiggle, flash lights, play music, emit sound effects, and so forth.
It's a police car. Looking more closely, I saw this:


That's right. Kids are driving a SECRET POLICE INVESTIGATION car.

They are encouraged to imagine themselves investigating SECRET AFFAIRS.
Merely the inattention of designers to the nuances of American English?
Or are we being softened up to accept Secret Police in our everyday lives? They're colorful! They're fun!
