Perhaps it is one of those books that tells you about the books so you don't have to read it. I remember in High School we had a SF club and we were trying to figure out "who could be eligible" (talk about geeks) and we made lists to give one another of the must read books. What is really interesting is that it all depends on criteria and personal choices.

To me these kinds of books are just for amusement, I don't buy them unless they are remaindered (cheap) and I'm bored.
