Boingboinged Bell Bombers
Sep. 5th, 2007 06:44 pmHey! My photos made Boingboing again!
At least, they made the Boingboing farm team, or something... they have recently started a parallel blog called Boingboing Gadget.
The founding editor, Joel Johnson, recently anounced that he'd started a Flickr group called "In the Year 2000," so I thought I'd pass it pointers to various of my retro-futuristic photos. (Recently an even better word, "paleo-future," has been coined, I believe by Matt Novak.)
This was easy to do, just as it was to join "Fiberglass Mascots" or "Insanely Large Ice Cream!"
Joel liked my photos of the 1950s spaceplane models created by Bell Aircraft.

The orange-and-gray pair seem to be a BOMI derivative identified in Dennis Jenkins's Space Shuttle as "Proposed Ehricke-Dornberger Hypersonic Transport circa 1957," but I'm not sure what the three-stage spaceplane is.
