Yesterday my brother passed away.
He was at home in Hoboken with his wife when he suffered a sudden heart attack around 1 AM. He took a cab to a hospital, but they were unable to save him.
Here are the funeral details.
To the Higgins Family Friends--
Thank you all for your concern, good wishes and wonderful stories about
John. Debbie has confirmed some of the funeral plans and wanted to share
them.
The funeral will be at:
St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church
404 Hudson
Hoboken, New Jersey 07030
on Satuday, November 25th at 12:00 noon. There will not be a wake. Please
join us to celebrate a Mass.
And then join us for a more traditional Irish Wake at Amanda's, at 908
Washington Street in Hoboken, immediately after the Mass.
Debbie is asking that any donations be sent to Hoboken Homeless Shelter
300 Bloomfield Street Hoboken, NJ 07030 or to Sts Peter and Paul church.
Please pass this information along to anyone interested.
Our friend Paul Rodriguez has written a nice appreciation in his blog, The Pop View. He took the trouble to collect links to many tributes John's colleagues have written. I'm sure he won't mind that I've swiped his HTML:
