That's awesome! Is it time? Is there one brave enough...true enough of heart to take up the mantle of Banana Man again?

[livejournal.com profile] polyfrog is nowhere near old enough to recall TBM's live performances (I think), but he is a sage and assiduous collector of the Odd and the Interesting. That he appreciates the Banana Man is no surprise at all.

Someday I would like to get hold of a good copy of a performance, and show you all. I have reason to believe that a videotape called Captain Kangaroo and His Friends, issued in 1985, may show the Banana Man-- I suspect that's where the screen grabs on Mr. Bryson's site come from.
