Hugo-Winner Demographic Skewing Older

Frederik Pohl, now 90, is not the oldest person to have won a Hugo last night.

Congratulations to Jack Vance, author of This is Me, Jack Vance!, who turned 94 last week. And congratulations to young Fred, and all the Hugo winners, as well.

Very cool. I passed this on to my 92 year old father... time for him to get moving on earning his own Hugo!

Does that make Vance the oldest person to win a Hugo? (I know, I should be asking [livejournal.com profile] james_nicoll this.

But Fred still has a Hugo from every dedcade in which they've been given.
